Commentator Fired
While their postseason success will be broadcasted on national television, their regular season games will be broadcasted on local television. Some unfortunate news has come about on that front:
Play by play announcer for the Kings Alex Faust has been relieved of his duties. This is a pretty big loss for the fan base, who admired his work, effort and enthusiasm to make the games as entertaining as they could be.
Here's some of what he had to say:
«As many of you are no doubt aware, the regional sports TV business is in serious distress, and Los Angeles is one of the many markets affected. The team is currently without a TV rightsholder partner for next season, and I was told my role was a casualty of the current climate. I truly appreciate how the city and the fans in Los Angeles welcomed me with open arms and into their homes for the last six years.»
Hopefully Alex gets back on his feet soon !
