Maple Leafs linked to former 1st round pick

Today while making a guest appearance on The Sekeres & Price Show, TSN Insider Darren Dreger linked the Maple Leafs to a former 1st round pick.

Konecny, who was actually selected with a pick owned by the Maple Leafs, was selected 24th overall in 2015. He also has 3-years remaining on his current contract with a cap hit of $5,500,000
A player like Konecny will likely require a significant payment, and the Flyers are unlikely to retain salary in any transaction for a player who has performed extremely well during his time in Philadelphia. This likely means players like Alex Kerfoot or Justin Holl would need to be included in a potential deal to offset the salary.
