Marc-Andre Fleury Reacts to Historic Win
The Minnesota Wild won over the Columbus Blue Jackets last night. In the 4-3 overtime game, the 39-year-old goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury achieved an important milestone, tying Patrick Roy for the second-highest number of wins for goaltenders in NHL history.
Fleury Joins Patrick Roy for Second Most Wins in NHL Goalie History
With his 551st career win, Fleury drew closer to rewriting history. He only needs one more win to beat Patrick Roy'S legendary mark and set his sights on the top spot, currently held by Martin Brodeur with 691 wins.

Fleury Reacts to Reaching Patrick Roy's Legendary Mark
After earning the historic victory, Marc-Andre Fleury couldn't hide his joy. Having grown up in Quebec, he idolized Patrick Roy as a kid and now finds himself in the same category.
He also took a moment to talk about his past and present teammates, highlighting his great leadership:
"One more would be good," said Fleury with a giant smile and a laugh. "It's a honor to be mentioned in the same sentence as him right? One of my idols growing up."
"I've been very fortunate to play with many great teammates and many great teams throughout my career," said Fleury. "Staff that has helped me to stay healthy and mobile and flexible helped to make it all the way here."
"It's pretty cool."
