Fleury set records to start his time with Minnesota, but played rather poorly in the playoffs, to the point that he got replaced with Cam Talbot.
This season, the Wild chose to re-sign Fleury, which then lead to the Wild trading away an unhappy Cam Talbot to the Ottawa Senators.
We are a week into the season and Fleury's playoff struggles have carried over to this season unfortunately. Through his first two games, Fleury has been pulled and currently has a 8.37 GAA and .776 SV%.
Yesterday against the LA Kings, Fleury let in 4 goals on 14 shots, which ultimately got him pulled, and the fans began to boo.
When asked about Wild fans Boo'ing him, Fleury had this to say:
Marc-Andre Fleury, pulled after giving up four goals on 14 shots, on hearing fans' frustration. «I don't blame them. I'd boo myself. I was not good. I feel bad for the fans. I feel bad for my teammates. I've got to step up. I've got to be better.» Called fourth goal «stupid.» Joe Smith (@JoeSmithNHL) October 16, 2022

Good look at the 4th goal.
Fleury had to have this one.
Boo birds again after one - as was also the case Thursday.https://t.co/XV1rgkqSDp Chris Long (@ChrisLongKSTP) October 16, 2022
