Last go back a few years, Matt Murray was a rookie going into the Pittsburgh Penguins organization. He had only played 13 regular season games, after an injury to Marc-Andre Fleury that had Zatkoff starting the playoffs in 2016, Murray quickly took over and led the Penguins to a Stanley Cup win as a rookie.

Due to the amount of games he played, the 2016-17 season Murray was still technically a rookie, and once again led the team to the Stanley Cup win, officially dethroning Marc-Andre Fleury in the process.

Then came the dark times. Murray played some poor seasons in Pittsburgh after the back-to-back championships and then was dealt to the Ottawa Senators.

His time in Ottawa was not kind to him and he even found himself back in the AHL for some time last season. During last season Murray was photographed during a press conference, and this photo had lots of fans and media concerned about his health.

Over these past few years, Murray has gone through quite a lot. His father passed away and he has dealt with numerous injuries.

Yesterday a fan shared a photo of himself that he took with Matt Murray and he looks like Murray has been rejuvenated since arriving in Toronto.

It is great to see Murray back to being healthy and let's hope for the best for him next season!
