Mike Babcock just revealed his honest opinion on how the Leaf fan base treated him after he left.

Babcock's Thoughts

Babcock went under fire when he was the Head Coach if the Leafs for reportedly asking rookie Mitch Marner to rank his teammates based off how hard working they were.

He would then actively bring up the list to Tyler Bozak who was ranked near the bottom by Marner.

«Well, first thing I would say to you is I answer these questions over and over again,» Babcock said, when asked about whether he felt the need to change. «And I'm happy to do that in saying that I got nothing to hide. I'm not trying to hide from anything I've ever done. I think it's important you own any mistake you've made, and you try to get better.»

Babcock was asked how he felt about his time with the Leafs and this is what he had to say:

Do I like how I was talked about after I left? No. Do I think I did anything wrong? Absolutely

Babcock's Career

Babcock has had a long career in the NHL and after a couple years away from the NHL the Columbus Blue Jackets signed him to be their next Head Coach.

Babcock has coached over 1300 games collecting exactly 700 wins as the Head Coach of the Detroit Red WIngs, Anaheim Ducks and Toronto Maple Leafs.

Babcock has received acqusations in the past about his treatment of players when he was the coach of the Red Wings, by Johan Franzen and Chris Chelios saying he is the worst person they have met.
