According to Minnesota Wild Insider Michael Russo, it looks like Cam Talbot will get the start over Marc-Andre Fleury tonight. Fleury has had a mediocre playoff run so far, his poor save percentage .906 and goals against average 3.04, are not going to help the Wild win.
Evason indicated there will be lineup changes tomorrow. Wouldn't divulge what they will be obviously, in part because they haven't told the players yet #mnwild Michael Russo (@RussoHockey) May 11, 2022
Whether it's a tell or not, for the first time this series Cam Talbot is going to the #stlblues' shoot twice net in the morning skate. That's usually reserved for the starter. If he starts, it'll be his first #mnwild start since April 28 Michael Russo (@RussoHockey) May 12, 2022
After game 3, we saw the Blues change goalies as Ville Husso was originally the starter and put up similar numbers to Fleury, and Binnington has put up back to back wins and a save percentage above .930, so perhaps the Wild are hoping for the same result.
It's important to note that Cam Talbot has actually not lost a game since the beginning of March, and highly outplayed Fleury since his arrival in Minnesota, so perhaps this is the spark that Wild needed.
