The hockey community was stunned when news broke of the passing of Rocky Wirtz, the esteemed owner of the Blackhawks, at the age of 70. We have since gathered further information.
Passed Surrounded by Loved Ones
Rocky Wirtz passed away today at NorthShore Evanston Hospital after a brief illness. At his time of passing, he was accompanied by his wife and four children, including his son Danny, as per the official statement by the Wirtz Corporation.
