Kyle Masters has had a phenomenal development curve since being drafted by the Minnesota Wild in 2021. Posting 65 points in 66 games, Masters had a career year offensively while also continuing to grow defensively.
In last night's Memorial Cup game against Peterborough, Masters was flung into the board by Rangers 1st round pick Brennan Othmann and fell awkwardly into the boards.

The Blazers released a statement on the defenseman's status after being stretchered off the ice.
Blazers coach Don Hay also had this to say about Masters after last night.
Hopefully, Masters is alright and can continue his hockey career next year. At this stage of the season, his return will not come after an injury like that. With the Minnesota Wild next year or their AHL affiliate Iowa Wild, Masters will certainly make an impact. We wish him a speedy recovery.
