Since his retirement from the NHL, John Scott has started a podcast called Dropping the Gloves.
On his podcast back in October, Scott made some 'predictions' on how the Capitals season was going to go, and let's just say, he didn't get a single one correct.
From his first statement being "the Washington Capitals will miss the playoffs this year, they're going to be garbage" to "Ovechkin is done, he's old, he won't touch 30 goals this year"
Well, Mr. Scott, not only have the Capitals clinched a playoff berth, Ovechkin hit 30 goals on February 15th and is currently 2 goals away from 50, which is ten times Scott's career total. The 36 year old who was supposed to be garbage this season actually tied John Scott's career goal scoring total in his 5th game this season. ''Garbage''.
