The Philadelphia Flyers, despite some positives coming out of last season, will go into 2023-24 without much optimism, and now, it appears they could be on the verge of moving one of their top stars.
Travis Konecny has been with the Flyers since his debut back in 2016-17, and after a career year of 31 goals and 61 points, the 26-year old is the perfect trade candidate right now.
This summer, he's been linked to Calgary, Edmonton, Buffalo and seemingly every contender needing forward help, but now, there's another option that has been revealed.
Staying on the East coast?
In their latest piece about the Flyers, Clutch Points NHL have offered the idea of the Washington Capitals trading for Konecny, as he would slot into their top-six perfectly alongside Alex Ovechkin and Tom Wilson.
With just a $5.5 million cap hit over the next two seasons, Konecny holds incredible value for the Flyers, and at this point, they have to trade him, so keep an eye on the Washington Capitals in a move for the budding young star.
