Eric Lindros was supposed to be the next league superstar, and while he was playing, he was one of the most dominant players in the game, but unfortunately that was not for the team that drafted him.

In his draft year, he told the Nordiques that he would not play for them if they drafted him first, he would not play for them, but instead they called his bluff and drafted him anyways.

A year later they decided to finally trade him, and here are 5 other offers that were on the table for Eric Lindros:

NEW YORK RANGERS:Alex KovalevTony AmonteSergei NemchinovJames PatrickJohn Vanbiesbrouck or Mike Richter(multiple first round picks)$20 million

CHICAGO BLACKHAWKSEd BelfourSteve LarmerSteve Smith(a 2 for 3 swap of undisclosed draft picks)

TORONTO MAPLE LEAFSFelix PotvinWendel ClarkDave EllettCraig Berube(multiple first round picks)$15 million

CALGARY FLAMES:Mike VernonThe choice of Al McInnis or Gary SuterThe choice of Joe Nieuwendyk or Robert Reichel

DETROIT RED WINGSSergei FederovNicklas LidstromSteve ChiassonMartin LapointeTim Cheveldae(undisclosed draft picks)

Some of these trades are mind boggling and some teams are probably thanking the lord they did not complete them, cough cough Detroit.
