This NHL insider just revealed that a huge shakeup might happen to a Canadian team that might put a veteran player on waivers in order to shake things up.

Friedman Reveals the Calgary Flames Could Place a Veteran on Waivers

Its no doubt that the Calgary Flames are struggling this season, starting the year off 2-7-1. This was not the start they wanted for the new era in Calgary, and now it appears their executive might be looking to shake things up.

Elliotte Friedman recently revealed that the Flames could send a message to their locker room by placing a veteran player on waivers. While the player isn't named, this would be a huge move to send a message to the team.

An exec from another team said he heard that the Flames might rattle their room by putting a veteran player on waivers. That obviously hasn't happened yet.

Bad Start Has Flames Fans Worried For the Future

This season was supposed to be a new start for the Flames, as they ousted former head Coach Daryl Sutter at the end of last year. Now, however, it appears that the issue is somewhere else.

Could it be that Darryl Sutter actually did the best he could have with the #Flames roster? Despite ending up fired, perhaps his systems and outputs were what this team needed.

The Flames will have to turn things around significantly in order to salvage the season. Even though it is early, they are digging themselves a hole that they might not be able to find their way out of.
