Day after day we have more and more exciting waiver-wire news in this 2022-23 season. From Stanley Cup Champions, to former 3rd overall picks, we are seeing exciting players hit the waiver wire every day.
This player has had a hard time making the jump into the National Hockey League. A former 19th overall pick back in 2016 by the New York Islanders, Kieffer Bellows was supposed to be a long-time New York Islander. A player who dominated at World Juniors, he was expected to be a top-6 winger for the Islanders, but unfortunately things did not work out as they hoped and the Islanders ended up placing him on waivers earlier this season.
He was claimed by the Philadelphia Flyers who had him in Lehigh Valley Phantoms for awhile where he preformed very well, scoring 9 points in 11 games, before being called up to the big club.
Unfortunately for him he doesn't seem to have that next level yet that it takes to be in the NHL and the 24 year old was placed back on waivers today by the Flyers.
