This veteran player spent the entire 2021-22 season playing in the KHL where he actually produced fairly well. In 27 games he scored 8 goals and 19 points. This player is Artem Anisimov.
Anisimov was a second round pick by the New York Rangers back in 2006, and last played for the Ottawa Senators.
He signed a PTO with the Philadelphia Flyers this season, but suffered a broken bone in his foot during pre-season and was cut from his PTO.
The Flyers did apparently like what they saw in this veteran though as it was announced today that their affiliate team the Lehigh Valley Phantoms have signed Anisimov to a PTO.
