There are many players in the National Hockey League that are superstar talents, that you would love them on your team, but hate them because they aren't.
One player that's hard to hate though even though is most likely isn't on your team is Patrice Bergeron. Known for his tremendous two-way play, Bergeron is the type of player that every young player should strive to be. He plays the game the right way in both zones, he puts up points, plays defence, and is not a dirty player.
You cannot help but like Bergeron.
Former NHL enforcer Zac Rinaldo, who played for the Boston Bruins in the 2015-16 season, before Bergeron was even named captain, speaks very highly of Bergeron's leadership abilities.
Rinaldo was on the TSN 1050 radio show, and shared the following details:
''But it's not just what he does on the ice. It's how he carries himself off the ice. He holds himself to a very high standard. What he preaches, he practices. He leads by example.'
Another thing he shared which was not in the video below was:
''If that's anybody else, they're laying on the ice and playing that up a little bit But he had that pride, he had that leadership where, Nope, I'm getting right back up.' Even if he was seeing stars, he didn't want anybody else to know that, and he got up.''
'That, to me, really showed big leadership on his part, and I was bought in right after that.'
