The Boston Bruins are a team of destiny this season. Multiple players returned on one-year deals to take one last shot at the Stanley Cup, and so far, the Bruins are dominating.
They are currently first place in the league with a record of 60-12-5, good for 125 points, which is 14 more than the second place Carolina Hurricanes. They are one of just 4 teams in history to record 60 wins in a single season.
Everything seems to be in place for them to make a long playoff run, and Wayne Gretzky has a message for them:
''This team is playing a good hockey club every single night. There's no days off; there's no nights off, every game is hard. What they're doing to me in this year is absolutely amazing.''
''Listen, it's almost like you feel bad for them if they don't win the Stanley Cup because they've done so many good things for the game, and they've played so unselfishly, and they're so much fun to watch, you know, you almost feel mad if they don't win the Stanley Cup.''
