Young Nick Robertson had proved himself at every level he played at and also showed he could produce when called upon for a top 6 role in the National Hockey league with the Maple Leafs, but Keefe was reluctant to put him into the lineup.
He was finally getting his shot and then against the LA Kings the other night he took a hard hit into the boards, in which he left the game injured and did not return:

The bad news now is the Maple Leafs will not be seeing this young player for atleast 6-8 weeks. But the good news being he did not need to have surgery.
Sheldon Keefe says Nick Robertson will be out roughly 6-8 weeks with his shoulder injury and will work through it in rehab instead of going with surgery.
Silver lining that he didn't require surgery.@BodogCA @RinkWideTOR David Alter (@dalter) December 10, 2022
