The 23-year-old from Arcadia, California, exploded for 41 goals and 79 points and even earned some MVP votes for his efforts in helping the Stars get to the postseason.
Luckily for Robertson that monster season occurred in the final year of his entry-level contract, and even though the Stars' season begins on Oct. 13, Robertson is still unsigned.
NHL insider Elliote Friedman has reported that the contract negotiations between Robertson and the Stars' have reached a frustration stage, particularly for the Stars' who will want to lockdown the star player before the season begins.

Ultimately Dallas should throw the dice and give Robertson what he wants, rather than attempt to trade him or allow him to walk.
The Stars' have a lot of their cap space tied up in ageing players Tyler Seguin and Jamie Benn, and Robertson is sure to be a star of the future for the team.
