Following this, Logan O'Connor dragged rookie Alex Laferriere out of the pile and started throwing haymakers.
Alex Laferriere gets the takedown in his 1st NHL game and his family is PUMPED 😂
O'Connor is entering his sixth season in the NHL and his third full season. He has been a mainstay in the Avalanche's bottom six for the past few years.
Who Is Laferriere?
Alex Laferriere, not to be confused with Alexis Lafreniere, was a third-round pick of the Kings back in 2021. He has developed nicely since being drafted posting 42 points in 34 games for Harvard last year.
It is unknown if he will be spending the entire year in the NHL but getting a start like this has likely cemented him in the lineup for a few more games at minimum.
He went pointless in his first NHL but clearly was a force everybody noticed.
