Gary Bettman announced it would be up to the players if they attended the Beijing Olympics as the NHL was looking to honour their deal. But according to David Pagnotta "at least one player expected to be on Team Canada has withdrawn from consideration."
With the new quarantine rules being up to 5 weeks instead of the previous 3 it is likely we may see more players follow suit of Robin Lehner and withdraw from the upcoming games.
Between now and January when rosters are finally revealed there is likely to be a lot of difficult decisions to be made by Team's management and by players as well.
