During tonight's Lightning and Blackhawks game, Tampa Bay suffered a potential setback for their team's season and playoff aspirations. Late in the first period, Steven Stamkos took what appeared to be an innocent hit along the boards but fell awkwardly to the ground.
Initially, everything seemed fine until Stamkos got up and displayed a concerning reaction indicating that his knee was not right.
The loss of their captain, just weeks before the playoffs, would undoubtedly have a significant impact on any team. However, the Tampa Bay Lightning are a resilient group, capable of rising to the challenge. Stamkos, who is 33 years old, is having another productive season in his remarkable career, having scored 27 goals.
