We are officially seven days past the 2022-23 National Hockey League trade deadline, but today is officially the American Hockey Leagues trade deadline.
While trades may still be made with players under NHL contracts, any trade made past March 3rd, makes these players ineligible for the 2023 NHL playoffs.
We've seen two trades already made past the March 3 deadline, and today another one was announced:
TRADE: #NJDevils acquire Jayce Hawryluk from #GoSensGo for future considerations
Hawryluk who is now 27-years-old, was a former draft pick by the Devils. They used their 2nd round pick back in 2014 to select him.
