The Colorado Avalanche have now pulled off their second trade before the deadline, dealing former 10th overall pick in 2016, Tyson Jost to the Minnesota Wild in exchange for 26 year old Nico Sturm.

After being picked 10th overall, Jost came to the Avalanche with a lot of potential and gave a lot of Avalanche fans hope that he would be the next 2nd line center. But after 321 games, Jost only registered 103 points for the Avalanche and it seems like they've seen enough and were ready to move on from the 24 year old.

Nico Sturm is a 26 year old undrafted player who signed with the Wild in 2019, he has recorded 36 points in 111 games for the Wild, but brings a two way game that will benefit the Avalanche in the upcoming playoff run.
