The first big trade we've seen since the Toffoli to Calgary trade sees the Anaheim Ducks trading Josh Manson to the Avalanche in exchange for Drew Helleson and a draft pick.
Helleson is a 2nd round pick in 2019 and just finished his third year with Boston College.
He represented Team U.S.A on 2 occasions, one for the world junior team in 2021, and he was on the U.S.A Olympic team this year.
The Avalanche are getting a very good defenceman in Josh Manson. Not the offensive player he was a few years ago, but he brings a steady defensive game that is going to fit in well with the team.
