Two days ago a content writer from the Bleacher report shared an embarrassing stat about the Arizona Coyotes. Adam Herman showed that Chris Kreider from the New York Rangers has scored more powerplay goals this season than the entire Arizona Coyotes team!
The Coyotes currently have the third worst powerplay in the NHL, at 13.7%, only ahead of the Montreal Canadiens and Philadelphia Flyers. The leagues best powerplay is the Toronto Maple Leafs who currently have a 27.5% powerplay, double the Coyotes!
It's been embarrassment after embarrassment for the Coyotes this season, from standings, to scores, to rinks. One major way a team improves is through drafting, developing and free agency. We've seen the Rangers durastically increase their rebuild after signing Artemi Panarin, but with the Coyotes continuing to be a bottom dwelling embarrassment, they will never attract this kind of top talent.
It is time to move the Coyotes.
