NHL players can be particular about their equipment, methodically taping and painting their sticks and wearing the same shoulder pads since their junior days. Tyler Bertuzzi is no different, except the way he does things is a bit odd.

Bertuzzi's tape job on the knob of his stick is unlike anything else in the NHL, with nearly no tape on the top where most players have rounds of tape to create a perfect handle. Bertuzzi's tape job had everyone on social media calling him unhinged for how he does it.

Bertuzzi Gets Assist With No Glove

If the tape job wasn't wacky enough for you, Bertuzzi's play style might just be. During the Kings game the other night, he was able to find Cale Jarnkrok for a goal, all while playing without one of his gloves. Sheldon Keefe noted after the game that Bertuzzi is exactly the guy you'd expect this from.

If there was ever a guy that was going to make a play looking a little bit odd with one glove on, he'd be my pick. Stays in the battle. Makes the play.

Despite his slower start to his tenure with the Leafs, Bertuzzi has seemingly found his grove with the squad, scoring 16 points in 36 games to start the year.
