We all know that some players have crazy superstitions or try unusual things to help break a slump. This seemed to be the case for Nashville Predators prospect Zachary L'Heureux during his most recent playoff game with the Halifax Mooseheads. L'Heureux decided to eat a large amount of mustard while sitting on the bench.
That's Just Nasty
It was clear from L'Heureux's reaction that he didn't enjoy the experience. However, he is not the first player to try this. Winnipeg Jets player Mark Letestu also tried eating mustard on the bench.
It's worth noting that L'Heureux was Nashville's first-round pick in the 2021 NHL Draft, where he was selected 27th overall. He has recently signed his NHL entry-level contract with the Predators.
