It was probably the biggest (legal) hit of the playoffs so far, and it came minutes before the final buzzer on the series.
Despite being victim to this hit, Timo Meier showed nothing but respect for Rangers captain Jacob Trouba in the handshake line.
Clip of Handshake Line Going Viral
One of the best traditions in playoff hockey is the handshake line. It epitomizes the sentiment that we are all hockey fans before our individual teams, and it gives players the chance to be sent off to the off-season in a respectful way.
However, when one player was given a hit to the head just 13 minutes before the handshake line, some hesitance would be expected.
However, Timo Meier and Jacob Trouba shared a great hug, as the former wished the latter off into vacation.
Incredible to see this much respect from the two players!
Clearly Meier isn't too shaken up the Devils are going to need him in round 2!
