Darryl Sutter was fired by the Flames yesterday and the shocking reasons why are already coming out. Read more to find out how Sutter caused the Flames locker room crisis.
Sutter Outed As Locker Room Poison
Since Darryl Sutter's firing yesterday, much news has come out about Sutter's involvement in the Flames' lackluster season.
There is no doubt Sutter is a great coach having won a Stanley Cup and coaching many great teams throughout his career. Sutter, a figure who demands respect, has an old-school coaching method.
In a tweet by Eric Francis, he reveals that Sutter ruled with an iron fist.
Sutter liked to have the Flames nervous every time they stepped on the ice.
With the negative energy throughout the locker room, it was hard for the team to build chemistry, and because of that, the Flames failed to make the playoffs and upper management fired Sutter who will be receiving $8 million over the next two years.
With the Flames shedding their locker room poison, they look to compete for a Stanley Cup once again and believe that this is a step in the right direction.
