Netflix to air a new documentary about Henrik Lundqvist
A new Netflix documentary is set to come out called "Open Heart", which will go into the details of Henrik Lundqvist's attempts to make a comeback to the NHL with the Washington Capitals.
Henrik Lundqvist is one of the greatest modern era goaltenders to play the game, and New York Rangers fans love him for his career in the Big Apple. While he never played a single game with another team, he did attempt to make a comeback to the NHL with the Washington Capitals in 2020-21. That was until he was forced to retire for good due to heart complications that required surgery.
Now, a new Netflix documentary is set to air showing the details of Lundqvist's comeback with the Caps, and the heartbreaking story that was his failed attempt to play in the NHL again.
"Open Heart," a documentary focused on Henrik Lundqvist's time with the Capitals, will debut on Netflix in May.
The doc goes behind the scenes of Lundqvist's heart surgery and attempted comeback with the Caps.
The Documentary is set to come out in May, right around the time of the Stanley Cup playoff finals.
We will certainly be tuning in to watch the documentary, as Lundqvist is one of the greats to play the game and will be remembered for both his performance and what he had to go through during his attempted comeback.
