WWE pays the ultimate sign of respect to the Gaudreau brothers
Tributes have been pouring in from every corner of the world for the passing of Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau, and the WWE just made a touching gesture as well.
WWE's RAW show came to Calgary last night, and the Gaudreau brothers were name-dropped no less than three times during the broadcast. Even wrestler Sami Zayn showed his admiration for Johnny Gaudreau by wearing his #13 Flames jersey to the ring.
WWE ran a touching tribute video package for the Gaudreau brothers during the event where Jackie Redmond spoke to how much Johnny meant to the city of Calgary. There were some very touching displays, floral arrangements, and other keepsakes left in their memory outside the venue.
Johnny Gaudreau, picked 104th overall in 2011, played nine seasons in Calgary before signing a seven-year deal with the Columbus Blue Jackets in 2022. Hundreds packed a standing-room-only crowd for the brothers' funeral service earlier this week.
Our thoughts are with the family and friends of Matthew and Johnny Gaudreau, who suffered this tragedy.
