BREAKING: Sidney Crosby Nearly Involved In Tragic Skate-To-The-Neck Tragedy
Fans held their breath this evening after Sidney Crosby went head over heels and nearly cut Canadiens defenseman Kaiden Guhle with his skate.
Crosby Nearly Cuts Guhle With His Skate: Tragedy Gets Narrowly Avoided
During this evening's game between the Montreal Canadiens and the Pittsburgh Penguins, Sidney Crosby got into a battle for positioning with Kaiden Guhle which resulted in Crosby's skates getting concerningly close to Guhle's head and neck area.
So that was nearly a skate to the head, and all of Crosby's weight coming down on Guhle's leg.
Not ideal. He seemed okay after.
Kaiden Guhle always watches Sidney Crosby closely when these two teams meet.
Some solid defensive work here, almost rewarded with a skate to the face.
Thankfully Guhle was no worse for wear but this is yet another example of why the NHL should make neck protection mandatory sooner rather than later.
