Crazy scene as NHL referee lays the boom on Trevor Zegras
Last night the Anaheim Ducks took on the Calgary Flames. During the game, Anaheim Ducks star Trevor Zegras found himself in an unfortunate situation where he got absolutely trucked by a referee while skating up the ice.
The Anaheim Ducks have once again struggled to find success this season. The Ducks had an opportunity last night to play a fellow struggling team the Calgary Flames. On one play in the middle of the game, Trevor Zegras fell into some bad luck after skating full speed into an unsuspecting referee.
Trevor Zegras got hit with an accidental body check from the ref
Trevor Zegras fell to the ice and lost his helmet. While he looked to be injured initially he ended up being okay and continued in the game. This is good news for Anaheim Ducks fans as earlier this season Trevor Zegras dealt with other injury issues.
Trevor Zegras has been in the news quite often lately for odd circumstances. The other day Trevor Zegras faced a lot of backlash for breaking a camera in the penalty box after being given a penalty. Earlier in the season he was also linked to different trade rumors due to his controversial style of play and confidence that he plays with.
The Ducks would go on to win the game 5-3 and get some momentum back. They still sit in third last in the Western Conference now 5 points ahead of Connor Bedard and the Chicago Blackhawks.
