Adam Ruzicka's career has been turned upside down in recent times, and the young forward has now officially addressed the controversy that led to his exit from the Arizona Coyotes.
Adam Ruzicka confronts major controversy
Just weeks after landing in Arizona, Ruzicka posted a story to his social media that unfortunately for him revealed a bit too much, with an illegal substance on the table in front of him.
That left to the swift termination of his contract by the Coyotes to the surprise of absolutely no one.
The Arizona Coyotes have placed forward Adam Ruzicka on unconditional waivers for purposes of terminating his contract. The Club will have no further comment at this time.
Now the 24-year old has officially addressed the situation for the first time, and instead of blaming someone else or shifting the focus, he addressed the video head on, taking full responsibility.
"I made a big mistake and I will learn from it," vowed the former NHL forward. "I love you all and will be forever grateful. Adam."
In 117 NHL games, Ruzicka has tallied 15 goals and 40 points for the Flames and Coyotes, so while his hockey career looks dead and buried right now, if he can rebuild his reputation away from the spotlight, we may see him back in the NHL one day.
