Sweeney meets with Boston sports media to break some injury news
Following the NHL trade deadline, Don Sweeney spoke with reporters about the moves he made for the organization and revealed some startling information.
Derek Forbort, one of Sweeney's top six defensemen and top penalty killer, had been playing with ailments, and Sweeney told the media that he will miss the rest of the season.

Forbort's current and past seasons in a nutshell
Forbort has averaged 17:47 minutes per game while participating in 35 of the 65 games the Bruins have played this season. He has four assists. In addition, he sees 3:00 of the game shorthanded, which leads the team.
In his three seasons with Los Angeles from 2016 to 2019, Forbort has played every game. However, in the intervening period, he has only appeared in more than 60 games once.
Forbort's projected 2024�2025 season long absence will be a major setback for the Bruins' postseason hopes.
