Paul Coffey under investigation after serious accusations
During Game 1 between the Edmonton Oilers and Vancouver Canucks assistant head coach for the Oilers Paul Coffey allegedly used a discriminatory gesture toward a fan. He is now being investigated by the NHL.
During Game 1 of the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, Edmonton Oilers assistant head coach Paul Coffey allegedly made obscene gestures toward a fan. The gesture has now put him under investigation by the NHL and facing potential suspension.
The Oilers were leading & Paul Coffey turned to make racist hand gestures toward a fan's turban, mocking his head. The Canucks game back and won in regulation. Karma is real. Hope Paul is held responsible for his actions.
This is not the first time that Paul Coffey has faced allegations like this. In 2014 he faced similar allegations while coaching minor hockey in the Toronto area. As of now, it has not been determined how long the investigation will take.
