Nashville Predators Yaroslav Askarov could be traded to western conference rival

As everyone in the hockey world is fully aware, Yaroslav Askarov has asked the Nashville Predators to trade him, and he could be on his way to a rival team.
When the Nashville Predators drafted Yaroslav Askarov with the 11th overall pick in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft, experts had him pegged as the top goalie prospect in the league. Unfortunately for Askarov and the Preds, things have not been working out, and the goalie prospect demanded a trade. The latest trade chatter has linked Askarov to a western conference rival team.
Based off the latest reports coming from NHL Trade Rumors, the rival Chicago Blackhawks are the front-runners to acquire the top goalie prospect, even though he has only played in three NHL games in his career, with just one win to his name.
What is it going to cost teams to acquire Yaroslav Askarov? That depends. The Predators do see him as the best goalie prospect in their system, however teams know the team could be somewhat desperate due to the player having asked for a trade. Normally when players request trades, their value goes down as opposing general managers know that team has become desperate to get rid of the unhappy player.
The Blackhawks have a lot of prospects and picks that they would be able to offload to Nashville in exchange for Yaroslav Askarov. For this reason, and the fact that they are still building for the future, they have the right tools to acquire Askarov and get him ready in time for when they become serious about winning in a couple of years or so.
Now that Yaroslav Askarov has made his trade demand public, chances are very high that a deal gets done, and sooner rather than later as well.
