Former goalie Kelly Hrudey blasts Mitch Marner after game 4
The former NHL goaltender Kelly Hrudey blasted Mitch Marner after the fourth game between the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Boston Bruins.
Marner, who's been the Leafs' scapegoat since the playoffs started, managed to score a goal and did a great effort in the third period. However, that didn't stop everyone in the hockey world to see that his antics are hurting the team.
Even with his talent, he does little things that truly harm the team morale. At the bench, he threw a temper tantrum, after Nylander told him to "stop f***ing crying".
He shows that even at 26 years old, he's immature and can't handle the pressure.
Kelly Hrudey didn't shy away from speaking his mind about Marner's underwhelming efforts:
"In Game 3 I tried to defend Mitch Marner," began Hrudey during the second intermission. "I said I thought I saw a lot more signs of a guy putting in an effort and trying to create something well I can't defend him tonight. He's just not very good and he's not trying as hard as he needs to."
"There's a play at the side of the net and he's taken down ever so slightly, a tiny little slash, and then he's looking at the ref," said Hrudey with disgust. "Just get up and play, don't feel sorry for yourself."
"Matthews is fed up so he looks over at Marner... but then do something about it... and now Marner come on throwing your gloves means nothing," said Hrudey throwing his hands up. "When you're 8 or 9 years old you do that because you don't know any better, but not when you're in this position."

The former goalie wasn't the only influencial person to criticize Marner. Paul Bissonnette also lashed out, which is concerning since he's a massive Leafs fan.
"I don't know if he's injured, but guys, this is just pathetic. He hasn't won a battle all series long. After one faceoff, he just gives it up. He is not playing any type of good hockey. He's losing every puck battle. This is pathetic. He doesn't deserve the ice he's getting right now. They need to sit him and set an example.
