Shocking allegations emerge surrounding Leafs coach Craig Berube
Today a disturbing piece of news has been released from the past of the new head coach of the Toronto Maple Leafs Craig Berube.
On social media today new Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube is being criticized for a specific action from his playing days. During a game in which he was playing for the Washington Capitals, Craig Berube was suspended for calling Peter Worrell of the Florida Panthers a name.
Craig Berube of the Washington Capitals was suspended for one game without pay on Tuesday for calling Florida's Peter Worrell, who is black, a monkey during an on-ice scuffle on Sunday.
This incident is distrubing especially that it is just coming to light now after years of Craig Berube continuing to play in the NHL and then eventually coaching. Players and coaches are held to high standards across professional sports and conduct such as this is not something to take lightly.
Back in 2022 when he was the head coach of the St. Louis Blues Craig Berube was asked about thteats made toward Nazem Kadri and did not denounce the threats.
Craig Berube had an opportunity to denounce some really disgusting behavior by his fan base and he goes with «I've got no comment on that stuff.»
This guy SUCKS.
If these patterns of intolerant behavior continue to be found Craig Berube's tenure as the head coach of the Toronto Maple Leafs could come to a quick end much like former Maple Leafs head coach Mike Babcock in his time with the Columbus Blue Jackets. If more information comes out regarding the conduct of Craig Berube in the past or more recently we will continue to update this story.
