Vegas Golden Knights among possible teams in running for Marner
Toronto Maple Leafs forward Mitch Marner is linked with the Vegas Golden Knights according to a trusted insider.
Mitch Marner seems to be the odd man out in Toronto, with GM Brad Treliving looking to make a big change at the helm of the Maple Leafs. With the many rumours circulating amongst the interest of Mitch Marner, the Vegas Golden Knights have appeared as a potential suitor for the 90 point winger.
"The Vegas Golden Knights reportedly have interest in Toronto Maple Leafs' forward Mitch Marner. Per, David Pagnotta."
To acquire someone like Mitch Marner, you must trade a valuable piece. Players who come to mind are Alex Pietrangelo, Shea Theodore or William Karlsson when talking about a Mitch Marner trade.
Theodore, 28, scored 42 points in 47 games this season, but in seven playoff games, he failed to add his name to the scoresheet.
The defenseman has one season left on his $5,200,000 AAV contract, and he'll probably be asking for a raise in the negotiations for his new deal
