The Vegas Golden Knights have been a hot topic since they placed Mark Stone on the LTIR and recently they activated Tomas Hertl off the LTIR upsetting fans.

It is no secret that the NHL has a loophole with the LTIR. Three of the past four Stanley Cups have been won by teams exploiting the loophole in some manner.

Recently, the Vegas Golden Knights have been accused of exploiting the loophole with their trade deadline acquisition, Tomas Hertl. They have just activated Hertl off the LTIR and placed forward William Carrier on the LTIR.

[The Vegas Golden Knights] have retroactively placed F William Carrier on LTIR in order to create the space needed to activate Tomas Hertl.

This led to a flurry of reactions from fans, most of which were negative.

Such a Vegas thing to do.

So took one off and replaced with another? Doesn't sound fishy at all

NHL This is getting out of hand, something has to be done

Shadiest franchise in the history of the league.

Nonetheless, the Golden Knights will be gearing up for a potentially deep playoff run and if the loophole is there, they will make their efforts known to exploit it.
