On Tuesday night the Chicago Blackhawks and Anaheim Ducks played a pretty meaningless NHL game with both teams far outside of the playoffs. The Blackhawks won 7-2, but the game clearly got out of hand midway through the third period.

Massive brawls ensues and ejections happen afterwards

At 9:18 of the third period the game was 6-2 in favour of Chicago. At that time the game got out of hand.

WE GOT A FULL ON BRAWL IN CHICAGO 😱

MRAZEK AND GIBSON! THE GOALIES ARE IN THE MIX 😳

With the brawl there were 12 penalties handed out totalling 70 minutes. Five of those were 10 minute misconducts with those five players forced to leave the game. thos players being Petr Mrazek, John Gibson, Reese Johnson, MacKenzie Entwistle, and Radko Gudas. Entwistle and Gudas were also assessed five minutes each for fighting, and the other five penalties were just two-minute minors.

The game was so wild even the goalies attempt to fight

It has been years since we have had a goalie fight in the NHL. We almost had that happen in the game.

John Gibson wanted to go with Petr Mrazek 👀

With the brawl starting John Gibson went to his bench to relax as it was in the Chicago end of the rink. Once he saw Mrazek involved in the melee he skated to the Chicago end of the rink to stick up for his teammates.

Chaos at the United Center as John Gibson skates across center ice to try scrapping with Petr Mrazek. #Blackhawks

Second year in a row we were *THIS* close to a goalie fight #FlyTogether #Blackhawks
