It was recently revealed by Oilers Insider Jim Matheson that Tyler Ennis may be returning to the NHL.
Ennis has had a quietly successful NHL career. He was originally a 1st round pick of the Sabres back in 2008. He emerged as an offensive weapon with the Sabres posting numerous 50-point pace seasons with them.
He has moved around after falling off with the Sabres in 2017-18 and has since played for the Wild, Leafs, Oilers, and Senators. He played his last NHL game with the Senators in 2022 and signed in the Swiss NLA last season.
In the Swiss league, Ennis emerged as an offensive dynamo scoring 33 points in 37 games. He was one of SC Bern's best forwards and has been impressing in camps since so he may be given an NHL opportunity in the coming weeks.
