There is a saying that "kids say the darndest things" and this is a perfect example. When the Toronto Maple Leafs faced the Florida Panthers on January 17th, Matt Murray had the worst game of his Leafs career.
Murray gave up 4 goals on 8 shots before being pulled in favor of Ilya Samsonov. Samsonov came into the second period and shut the Panthers down. As the Leafs left the ice they were greeted by a young fan who wanted to share how he felt about the team.
After sharing how much he loves Samsonov, the fan greeted all the Maple Leafs with affection except for one, Matt Murray.
You could tell be the parents in the video that they were absolutely mortified by their son's comments. The Maple Leafs came back and won the game 5-4 in overtime and Murray has since lost the starting job to Samsonov, so maybe the kid has a point.
