Last night the Colorado Avalanche ended a 21-year drought and won the Stanley cup in 6 games over the Tampa Bay Lightning with a 2-1 victory.

After the game, as usual in the playoffs, the coaches begin letting the media know about injuries and how bad of injures their players played through.

This has to be one of the worst injuries a player played through this year as Andre Burakovsky played through multiple agonizing injuries to help his team win the cup.

According to Denver Posts' Mike Chambers, Avalanche Coach Jared Bednar confirmed Andre Burakovsky broke his ankle during the Western Conference finals against the Edmonton Oilers.

Burakovsky also played through a broken thumb after surgery. Burakovsky showed just how tough hockey players are and what they will battle through to get a chance at a cup.

To play through multiple broken bones is absolutely insane, he definitely deserved this cup, which is his second now.
