Monday night we saw the Arizona Coyotes upset the Toronto Maple Leafs, which has caused nothing but embarrassment for the Maple Leafs ever since.
The Coyotes are a team that are 'tanking' for Conor Bedard, while the Toronto Maple Leafs believe they are a team that is capable of winning the Stanley Cup.
After a quick 2-0 lead for the Coyotes, the Maple Leafs clawed back in the third period to tie it at 2, but after a controversial goal that was called back, the Maple Leafs ended up losing the game 4-2.
The Maple Leafs play in Scotiabank Arena, which holds 19,800 people. Monday's nights game was a sellout, as usual for the Maple Leafs, and after the embarrassing loss, Coyotes forward Christian Fischer decided to chirp the fans in the arena:
I'm sure the fans got all $300 worth or whatever it is of their ticket tonight.
