Already without franchise center Nicklas Backstrom for possibly the entire season and fan-favourite winger Tom Wilson until atleast December, the Capitals learned yesterday that forward Evgeny Kuznetsov will be suspended for Thursday nights game against the Ottawa Senators for a high sticking penalty he received against the Vancouver Canucks.

The news got even worse today as the Capitals announced that their newly acquired winger to fill in the void for Tom WIlson, Connor Brown will miss ''significant'' time after getting hit in the same game against the Canucks.

After that hit, Brown went straight to the dressing room, and he is expected to be out long term.
Capitals say Connor Brown has a lower body injury that will keep him out long term. Still to be determined if he'll have surgery. He's been placed on injured reserve.
