If you're like me then you probably love the idea of a good old Arm Chair GM situation where someone is given the power to make a trade on behalf of their favourite team. Sometimes they're good, sometimes they're bad and sometimes they're just plain awful.

That's what we're going to focus on. 5 of the worst Arm Chair GMs suggestions we saw over the past week

This Leafs' fan gave us A LOT to unpack. First of all they think Seattle is going to give them the 2nd overall pick last season and what should be a top 5 pick this season for an aging John Tavares. Sure Tavares is on pace for his best statistical season, but there isn't a chance he is waiving his NMC to head to Seattle.

Then this fan seems to think giving up every 1st round pick ever for Andrei Vasilevsky is a positive move.

All I can say is... Leafs' fans amirite?

If that was a lot to unwrap this Habs' fan went pretty over the top here as well. Apparently this fan believes the Leafs will trade them Mitch Marner and that they'd be able to include a 1st round pick that Montreal doesn't actually have, unless they want Arizona to take their 1st instead.

Then this trade seems to think they can exercise the return policy on Christian Dvorak in exchange for Jakob Chychrun, while also only throwing spare parts Arizona's way.

Probably most shocking this person wants to trade one of their best trade chips for only a 5th round pick.

But...why?

image

Every team in the league is going to have some interest in Jakob Chychrun and a lot of those teams are going to make an offer, but if all Bill Armstrong can receive is a 1st round pick and a bunch or salary dumps for his two best trade chips then the Coyotes better head for Houston now because they're done!

This deal is an absolute pipe dream from an Oilers fan hoping that quantity out does quality.

For our last deal we head back to Edmonton for probably the single biggest overvaluation we've seen. This isn't a slight at Kailer Yamamoto, but if any team is willing to offer a 1st round pick for a 23 year old with less than .5 PPG that GM should be fired absolutely immediately.

And I mean IMMEDIATELY!

That does it for this edition of our Arm Chair GM Fails of the Week!
