Benn Suspended Likely Remainder of Season
NHL Player Safety just announced that Jamie Benn will be suspended for 2 games.
A suspension this long likely means he will not be playing again this year after the Stars went down 3-0 versus the Golden Knights.
This is unfortunate for the Stars but it is just after this was the hit that got Benn suspended.
Truly disappointing from the Stars captain and this will likely be a large storyline heading into the offseason. This is not captain-worthy behavior and it could be the second year in a row where we see a player stripped of captaincy after Blake Wheeler was stripped last offseason.
